The largest redesign in Twitter’s history has reached the social network’s iOS app and some features are immediately rolling out across platforms. There are now 4, not 5, navigation tabs: Home, Search, Notifications, and Direct Messages. You can swipe right to access a menu for finding your profile, lists, and settings.
Web links are going to open within Safari rather than inside of the app. Twitter says this makes things easier in cases where someone needs to sign in to a site.
Across platforms, the reply button has become a speech bubble, headlines are bolder, photos will be rounded. Reply, retweet, and like counts will also update in real-time as users watch.
