TSMC has hit a jackpot with its newer nodes like 7 nm and now 5 nm, as the corporate is working with fairly good yields. To boast, TSMC has seen all of its capability of seven nm being totally booked by clients like AMD, Apple, and NVIDIA. However, it looks like the corporate’s next-generation 5 nm node can also be getting excessive demand. According to the most recent report from DigiTimes, TSMC’s N5 5 nm node is totally booked to the top of 2020. And the most important cause for that’s the largest firm on the earth – Apple. Since Apple plans to launch the next-generation iPhone, iPad, and Arm-based MacBook, the corporate has reportedly booked many of the 5 nm capability for 2020, that means that there are many chips that Apple will devour. TSMC cannot be dependent solely on one firm like Apple, so the smaller portion of capability went to different clients as properly.
