Twitch is making it possible for far more people on the site to earn money from their streams. It announced this week the launch of an Affiliate program that’ll be open to non-Partners. That program comes with some monetization options, albeit not the same benefits as being a Partner.
With the Affiliate program, you can use Cheering with Bits, for example. Cheering is a way for people to donate to a streamer using “Bits,” which are bought with real currency.
Other eventual features will be game commerce, advertising, and subscriptions.
Twitch is inviting people to the Affiliate program based on factors like time streaming, viewership, and follower count.
