Recently some info leaked in the net showcasing very interesting data about what are the most popular Android-powered smartphones in some regions. It’ll be correct to say what the top 10 Android smartphones are in the largest markets. Of course, this research is based on AnTuTu tests taken by the owners of those devices, and many can doubt its accuracy. However, this AnTuTu data can give a ground for thoughts.
When looking at the global list we can see Xiaomi devices have grabbed almost the half of it. The first position is occupied by the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with 6.26%. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is on the second position, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is only the third one. The top 10 Android smartphones list also includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Mi 4C, and Mi 3.
Now let’s see which Android smartphone is the most popular in a certain country.
China: It’s reasonable to see Chinese smartphone users prefer their own products. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is an absolute leader here with 9.06% of market share. It’s followed by the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. There are also popular models such as Huawei Mate 8, Xiaomi Mi Note, OnePlus 3, Meizu MX5, ZUK Z2, and Le Max 2. Unfortunately, the Vivo X7 doesn’t enter the top 10 Android smartphones in China list, but it’s on the 11th position.
Taiwan: Taiwanese and South Korean users still prefer their own brands – Asus, HTC, Sony, Samsung, etc. As you see, the Asus ZenFone 2 is ranked first. Not accidentaly, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is on the second position.
Hong Kong: The Samsung flagships have no equals in this market. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is on the first ranking, but it’s followed with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
India: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the absolute winner in this market with its 19.32% in the top 10 Android smartphones. It’s followed with the Redmi Note 2 and Asus ZenFone 2.
US: Samsung is the leader in the USA. Its Galaxy S7 Edge is on the first position. Though the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is not officially announced in this market, it has appeared in the list as well.
South Korea: Samsung and LG have grabbed almost all the positions. And if there is not the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, only two brands will be presented in the top 10 Android smartphones list.
Russia: Again, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the absolute leader with 11.45% market share.
Germany: It turns out German smartphone users mainly prefer Samsung handsets.
Vietnam: Redmi Note 3 is the first with 8%.
Malaysia: this is one of those markets that prefer the Redmi Note 3 – 15.31%, folks!
As you see, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is one of the most popular Android-powered smartphone in the globe if trusting the AnTuTu data.
