If it needs to be explained why New York is worth a tour in VR, you’ve been in a coma for about a century. Iconic for anyone who’s been a fan of any situation-based comedy around a group of friends as well as countless films, books and games, the big Apple is well worth the tour. It is also unbelievably expensive to visit in real life. Instead of taking out a second mortgage, strap on the VR headset and have a look around this gorgeous city.
2. Dubai
Dubai is an interesting beast, in that it is gaudy, exuberant and artificial. Just twenty years ago this city was nothing more than a few buildings fighting against the encroaching desert. Now, it is a shiny example of just how much money you can get from selling pressurised dinosaur remains. If you always wanted to tour this crazy city of the desert, VR is the perfect means with which to achieve this.
3. London
London is a city that has everything: history, art, overpriced food and drinks. While a tour in VR would not let you experience the west end or any of the local dining options, it will give you a feeling of a city that has existed for almost two thousand years. However, Ulanbataar with a population of just over a million holds over half the population of the entire country, and because 30% of Mongolia is still nomadic, the city shrinks and grows depending on the season. This is worth a tour. However, because of the permafrost issue, VR would let you have a look without the severe cold affecting you.
5. Moscow
Moscow is a city of great history. It has seen the rise and fall of empires, communist superpowers and bare-chested heads of state on horseback. It is also gorgeous in the winter, albeit at minus thirty degrees in the dead of winter. Read Square is gorgeous at every time of the year, and with a VR tour, you get to experience that without the seven coats and five scarves needed not to freeze to death.
