CES 2017 has just concluded, and we’ve seen many promising gadgets, such as LG’s paper-thin W7 LCD TV. However, we’ve also seen some really strange devices that whilst innovative, makes us question if anyone in the right mind will spend upwards of a $100 to purchase them, and more importantly, who will spend years of their life, and thousands of dollar, inventing them, but here’s to the finest, and the most brilliant of humanity.

Withings thinks you can’t comb your hair right, so the Kerastase Hair Coach is a smart brush that teaches you to do it the right way. It’s a device that comes with a built-in microphone that picks up your brushing technique not only with gyrometers but also microphones that listen in to you as you brush. Alongside its whole host of other sensors it will test both you and your environment to ensure you never have a bad hair day.
Acer Predator 21X
We’re not sure if this is weird or just simply too overpowered for our comprehension. With not one, but 2 GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs as well as 2 power supplies, 5 five system fans, 9 heatpipes, 64GB of memory and 5 storage drives. This is a laptop that mocks your gaming desktop. It even has a curved screen that comes in at 21 inches diagonally and a mechanical keyboard to make a laughing stock out of your gaming tower.
Sensorwake Oria
Scent, not sight or sound, is that Sensorwake thinks is going to wake you up and lull you to sleep. Hence, Oria is a smart clock that will help you go to sleep by farting in your face. But the farts are at least nice smelling. Peachy farts to lull you to sleep, why not.
Hushme
If you have something secretive to say to your gossip buddy and you are afraid everyone might hear you, use Hushme, a voice mask for mobile phones. It can act as a cosplay mask to make you look like Batman’s Bane or to communicate with others wearing the same mask but muffles what you are saying to everyone else. It even has a built-in voice changer, if you want to sound like Darth Vader.
Denso Vacuum Shoes
Remember when you mum always asks you to stop walking everywhere when she’s cleaning the place, now with these Denso Vacuum Shoes, you can defy her with pride. These strange shoes don’t use batteries, but every time you step down, you actually hit down on a pedal, which powers the motor and it will suck the dirt into a tiny internal receptacle. Plus it looks pretty as well, so that’s an added bonus I guess!
Zhor-Tech Digitsole
Digitsole heels come in 2 models: a pair with insoles that can be powered up to heat your feet whilst you walk, and another pair that has a high heel capable of getting its height adjusted. The latter is pretty interesting considering the fact that it solves women’s dilemma of bringing 2 pairs of shoes, one pair of flats for comfort, and another pair of heels which you hate but need to wear to work. Now, you don’t have to switch between shoes, just hit a button on your app and you’re good to go.
