The End for Samsung Galaxy Note7?

217

With Samsung’s official announcement to both halt the sales and exchange for the Galaxy Note7, this might actually really be the end for Samsung’s much loved flagship phablet. In less than 3 months of its unveil, Samsung was hit with a slew of incidents which reported that the Note7 would explode or catch fire. Although, Samsung had reacted swiftly and provided the option to replacement existing Note7 sets, incidents which involved these replacement units were still being reported internationally.

In an official statement released by Samsung, it has strong urges all telecommunication carriers and authorised retails to halt the sales of the Note7. Official investigations into the fires and explosion of the Smartphone will be carried out in an orderly and meticulous fashion. “We remain committed to working diligently with appropriate regulatory authorities to take all necessary steps to resolve the situation. Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 device should power down and stop using the device and take advantage of the remedies available.

If you reside in Singapore, Samsung is in talks with local telecommunication carriers and authorised retailers on a resolution for current Note7 users – more details will be made known as soon as possible. For now, “Galaxy Note7 customers who require a courtesy device on loan (subject to stock availability) can visit the Samsung Customer Service Centre at Westgate (level 3) during operating hours.”
