Tesla will unveil its electric semi truck in September, says Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Plans for a semi truck were revealed last year alongside plans for an electric minibus. Both are part of Tesla’s long-term strategy of entering all key electric vehicle markets.

While we may learn more about the semi in September, production could be a ways off. We’ve known about the Tesla Model 3 for quite a while and full production is only about to begin.
Other companies, namely Mercedes and Uber’s Otto, are also working on electric autonomous semi trucks.
