Tesla is cutting its least expensive Model S from its vehicle lineup this weekend. After September 24, it’ll no longer be possible to buy the rear-wheel drive Model S 75. This means you’ll only be able to get a rear-wheel drive vehicle from Tesla if you purchase a Model 3.
The 75 model was available starting at $69,500. Once it’s gone, the cheapest Model S will be the dual-motor 75D, which comes in at $74,500.
By cutting this version of the car, Tesla is also creating a sharper distinction between the Model S and the less-expensive Model 3.
