Teclast is one of those Chinese manufacturers that are known for making good tablets and laptops at affordable prices, like Jumper and Chuwi. The company has a long catalogue of decent and amazing technology gadgets that you don’t have to drill a hole in your pockets for, and the Teclast F5 is the latest, packing features like a 360-degree rotating touchscreen, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD for a price of just $420.
The laptop, which should be more appropriately called a notebook since it’s just 13mm thick and weighs 980g, was launched earlier this month, becoming the first convertible laptop of 2018 to be powered by the 8th-generation Intel Gemini Lake N4100 processor. You’d be hard-pressed to find it at a price below $300, but Gearbest currently has a limited quantity of the device on Flash Sale for $297.99, which is the lowest price the laptop has ever been sold for. The flash sale ends on the 29th of November.
Teclast F5 Features
The Teclast F5 comes compact, featuring an 11.6-inch IPS display with Full HD (1,080 * 1,920) pixel resolution and 178-degree viewing angle. It has very slim bezels, so even though it has a smaller screen size than many other notebooks, you get most of the screen real estate. An Intel UHD Graphics 600 card ensures that you can watch videos and play games up to 4K resolution.
This device can be used in almost any mode, including laptop, tablet, draw, display and tent. This is due to its 360-degree rotatable display hinge, which effectively makes it a convertible laptop/notebook. The Teclast F5 underwent extensive testing during production, so you don’t need to worry about the hinges wearing out or breaking down when switched excessively.
The laptop is powered by an 8th-gen Dual-core Intel Gemini Lake CPU which, combined with its 1.1GHz clock speed and fast 128GB SSD, delivers fast and lag-free performance. The processor can go even faster, up to 2.4GHz when needed, and the 128GB storage space can be extended to meet your storage requirements.
The Teclast F5 offers efficient multi-tasking, with 8GB of DDR4 RAM that makes switching between heavy apps a breeze. It comes with Dual-Band WiFi 802.11 ac for fast wireless connections, and has a 1MP camera upfront. Because of its slimness, however, you have just one USB-C port for wired connections, but there’s still an HDMI port and 3.5mm audio jack present.
The device runs on a 3,850mAh battery that can power it for up to 4 hours on heavy usage, thanks to its efficient processor and Windows 10 operating system.
Where to Buy the Teclast F5 Laptop
The Teclast F5 is currently available on Gearbest for $297.99 on flash sale, but the price won’t stay that way for long. After the 29th of November, it would return to its original price of $419.49.
