US carrier T-Mobile has revealed a list of Samsung and HTC devices on its network set to receive an update to Android 7.0 Nougat in the near future.
Since HTC has already shared its Android 7.0 Nougat update plans, it isn’t surprising to see the HTC 10 and the One M9 in the list. Samsung on the other hand, hasn’t come up with an official statement yet and a senior company executive only confirmed the update for the Galaxy Note 7.
According to the T-Mobile list, the carrier is currently testing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7, and the Galaxy S7 Edge. Just like HTC, it appears Samsung too is currently focusing only on its flagship handsets. But as we saw this year with the Marshmallow rollout, it is possible that Samsung will roll out the Android Nougat update to more affordable Galaxy smartphones and tablets once it is done pushing the update to its flagship lineup.
