T-Mobile offering full refunds for the Galaxy Note 7

214

Samsung has now acknowledged that there’s truth to the reports about the Galaxy Note 7′s battery exploding while being charged. The company says that it has only received reports of 35 units suffering from this problem but it has now issued a voluntary recall of all Galaxy Note 7 handsets shipped since the release on August 19. Samsung will work with its retail and carrier partners across the globe to voluntarily replace all Galaxy Note 7 units. T-Mobile customers in the United States can choose to go for that option or take up the carrier on its offer for a full refund.

T-Mobile customers have the option to return the Galaxy Note 7 and get a full, complete refund of anything they have paid for the device including any Galaxy Note 7 accessories. T-Mobile will cover all restocking and shipping fees and it’s even letting customers keep the full year of Netflix, Gear Fit 2 or microSD card which was provided as a pre-order incentive. They can also use the refund amount to purchase any device available in T-Mobile stores.

Customers who wish to simply exchange their Galaxy Note 7 for a new Galaxy Note 7 that Samsung has promised to provide all existing customers with, T-Mobile says that it will inform them as soon as it receives inventory from the company. Regardless of whichever option they choose, customers can visit the T-Mobile store where they bought the handset from or call 611 on their handset to take advantage of either option.
