Instead of just giving people a list of recommended games, Valve’s Steam will now tell users why they believe a game is suitable. With a change that’ll make Steam’s recommendation algorithm more open, users will see a list of reasons why a game is being suggested.
Those reasons include things like positive user reviews, how many friends want/own the title, if it’s been recommended by “curators” a user follows, and if it’s similar to other games you’ve played.
Other upcoming changes to improve Steam’s Discovery aspects will be detailed in the coming weeks.
