A feature that’ll make sharing and discovering music easier on Spotify has been introduced. Its new “Spotify Codes” feature generates unique codes for any piece of content on the platform. You can scan a code using the camera function found in Spotify’s search bar.
Spotify Codes enables people to share/discover music in a manner reminiscent of QR codes. This makes sharing content easier both in the real world and online (e.g. posting a code on Instagram.)
If the code shows up online, you can capture it with a screenshot and upload the picture via Spotify’s search function.
This feature is beginning to roll out to users.
