When the Falcon Heavy rocket launches for the first time this summer, SpaceX may try to recover its upper stage. CEO Elon Musk confirmed the rocket would launch this summer and that the company will attempt to recover the upper stage during the demo.
However, Musk and SpaceX recognize the chance of success is low. And the first rocket launch itself comes with a lot of risks.

Once the Falcon Heavy is fully operational, it will enable SpaceX to carry out launches that bring twice as much cargo to space.
