Sonos has announced an impending price change in the UK that’ll see its items listed for up to 25% more. The company confirmed the price increase on a support page and says it’ll kick in on February 23. Sonos is raising its prices due to the Brexit decision, which had a negative impact on the pound’s value.
We pay for everything we make in US dollars. Over recent months, there has been a significant change on the US Dollar to GBP exchange rate. As a result, our existing pricing has become unsustainable and, like many other companies, we have to increase prices for all products priced in GBP. – Sonos
Among the changes are a £30 increase for the Play:1 (£169 to £199) and a £100 rise for the Connect:Amp (£399 to £499).
Other companies, including HTC, Apple, and Microsoft, have adjusted their prices as well.
