A version of the BBC’s Planet Earth II is headed to Snapchat. Six mini-episodes from the documentary series will premiere on the network beginning February 17, a day before the series’ BBC America launch. The episodes are exclusive to users in the US.
Each one is 4 to 6 minutes and all of the videos have been formatted for portrait viewing.
These episodes differ from Planet Earth II in that they include exclusive new footage and the narration is from actress Sophie Okonedo rather than David Attenborough.
3D audio is included with the clips as the sequences were recorded using dual microphones.
