Slack has rolled out an upgrade for its screen sharing tool that now lets people mark up and edit items on other people’s screens. You’ll also have access to another computer’s scroll function, all of which is meant to make interactive projects easier to finish.
Giving people more ways to benefit from the service will help Slack hold on to users who may otherwise be tempted to check out competitors.
It’s been able to expand its screen sharing capabilities over time partly due to its acquisition of Screenhero back in 2014. It says Screenhero will shut down in the beginning of December and users who haven’t signed up for Slack will get a free 60-day trial.
