Several industry insiders have claimed that Samsung is struggling with the implementation of in-screen fingerprint scanner technology, which resulted in a rear mounted fingerprint scanner on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, and most likely on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.
Until today, we have only heard that Samsung is having problems with the implementation, but now we know one of the problems. According to a new report, Samsung’s in-screen fingerprint scanner technology results in brightness imbalance issues. Reportedly the area containing the scanner is noticeably brighter than the rest of the display.
