Imagine a second of full calm within the coronary heart of the town that by no means sleeps. On July 27, vacationers and urbanites alike have been handled to such a scene when Samsung Electronics, in partnership with Seoul-based design firm d’strict, unveiled its Waterfall-NYC (2021) artwork set up in New York City’s Times Square.
Pairing Samsung’s world-leading show know-how with d’strict’s modern space-based consumer experiences, Waterfall-NYC (2021) transports onlookers to a digital ocean with hyper-realistic waves and cascading waterfalls over 100 meters tall.
Made potential because of Samsung Smart LED Signage, the set up at One Times Square is comprised of 4 vertical screens that measure greater than 1,081 sq. meters (11,639 sq. toes) when mixed.
The cascading water takes full benefit of the signage’s vertical construction, delivering an immersive and compelling visible expertise. Images are displayed on the trade’s highest peak brightness, 9,000 nits, making certain that the art work stays vivid even in direct daylight.
