Recent reports had suggested that the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro and the Galaxy C5 Pro could go on sale this month. However, according to a Weibo post, Samsung has delayed the launch to January.
The Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p resolution display and run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core chipset with the Adreno 506 GPU. It will also include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, 16MP rear camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
The larger Galaxy C7 Pro on the other will arrive with a 5.7-inch display with the same 1080p resolution. It will be identical to the Galaxy C5 Pro in the chipset department too, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset doing duty inside. The same goes for memory as well as the camera setup at the rear as well as the front.
Both the Galaxy C7 Pro and the Galaxy C5 Pro are also rumored to include a USB Type-C port, support for Samsung Pay mobile payment service, and a fingerprint scanner. They will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box at launch, with the company’s new ‘Grace UX’ layer on top. The two smartphones are expected to be announced in China next month, and like the rest of the Galaxy C-series, may be available only in China, at least initially.
