Amazon has the Echo, Google has the Home, and as of recently, Apple has the HomePod. It seems all of the major names in tech are making smart speakers based around their respective voice assistants, so it’s not surprising reports now claim Samsung is joining the market.
The Korea Herald says Samsung is working on a Bixby-based smart speaker. Bixby is currently available on the S8 and S8+, two of its latest flagship smartphones.
We don’t know much about the speaker, but it’ll presumably be similar to the already revealed and released competitors. Apple just introduced the HomePod this week, while the Home and Echo are already available.
