Samsung’s mobile payment service has just arrived to the United Kingdom. The South Korean tech giant will face stiff competition in the UK, where it will compete with Apple Pay and Google’s Android Pay, which have been present in the country for over a year.
Users of latest Galaxy S smartphones are able to pay for goods and services by tapping their handsets on contactless terminals, and pay for travel on Transport for London’s network of tube, train and bus services.
Unfortunately, the UK version is also missing some key features that are on offer in other markets and the service is currently available only on the Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6 and S6 Edge. The Galaxy A series and Gear smartwatches will get the support in the coming months.
