Yesterday, Samsung’s voice assistant finally reached the US, after being for Korean-speaking users for months, allowing users of Galaxy S8 and S8+ to use the dedicated Bixby button. If you thought that this would mean that Samsung will now focus on developing the rumoured Bixby-powered smart speak, we have bad news. Samsung has reportedly decided not to produce a Bixby speaker, at least for now.
According to a report by The Investor, Samsung believes that AI speakers are not as the market is already dominated by Amazon, which has over 70 percent of market share. To be more competitive, Samsung first needs Bixby Voice to be more competitive and learn new features.
