Samsung is launching its first smartphone featuring 6GB of RAM. But surprisingly, it’s not a new flagship phone. Instead the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is a solid mid-range phone aimed at the Chinese market.

The phone features a 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel Super AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor instead of one of Qualcomm’s more powerful Snapdragon 820 or 821 chips.

With a list price of 3199 yuan ($473), the phone is on the expensive side for a Chinese handset. But it’s still more affordable than the company’s Galaxy S7 flagship phones, which have list prices of about $650 and up.

The Galaxy C9 Pro has 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB of removable storage, and dual SIM support.

There’s a 16MP camera on the back with support for phase detection autofocus, and second 16MP camera on the front.

The phone has a 4,00 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port, and support for quick charging. There’s a fingerprint sensor built into the home button.

Samsung’s new phone supports 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and GPS as well as 4G LTE networks in China, where the phone is up for pre-order today.

There’s no word on if or when the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro will be available in other markets.
