207

Since the Galaxy Note 7 is officially discontinued, Samsung fans are already looking forward to next year’s Samsung Galaxy S8. SamMobile has just learned that Samsung started firmware development for the upcoming flagship Galaxy S8, about which we don’t know much.

According to them, the ROM is being developed for use in China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Poland, United Kingdom and the United States. Other countries will also get the firmware, once the first stable build has been created.

We already know that the handset is going to be announced at MWC 2017, but it is hard to comment on what to expect from it since there are no details out in the wild. Reportedly, two variants will be available with a 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch displays. The smaller will have Quad HD panel, while the bigger model packs 4K resolution. We can also expect to see the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor globally, with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 8895 CPU in some markets.
