Successors to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are close from becoming official. The announcement is scheduled for March 29 and the release for April 21, but prior that we have new information. Just like LG’s upcoming flagship phone, Galaxy S8 will also have unusual display resolution.
According to a leak out of China, the Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,440 x 2, 960 pixels resolution and unusual 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy S8 Plus model will have a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with the same resolution and aspect ratio. As for the pixel density, the 5.8-inch model will have around 567ppi, while the large model will have 531ppi.
