Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is surely the most anticipated smartphone in the first half of this year, but the phone has yet to leak in a live image. Still, we have been seeing many leaked case images for the Galaxy S8 this week.
The latest leaked image reveals the phone’s design from all angles and it confirms previous rumors which stated that the Galaxy S8 won’t come with a physical home button. This means that the fingerprint scanner which was embedded in the home button on previous models, will be relocated on the back of the phone. The case was posted by UK’s MobileFun and it sells for the price of £5.99.
The Olixar Ultra-Thin clear case makes it easy to see the phone’s design. The images could actually show the new Galaxy S8, but then again, they could be just very accurate renders. There’s no way of telling for sure until a live image of the upcoming phone leaks. This might happen soon, considering that recent reports have pointed to the fact that Samsung has already completed the prototype of the new phone and sent it to its CEO.
It doesn’t show the iris scanner or the 3.5mm jack
From what we can gather from the image, the 3.5mm headphone jack seems to be missing from the upcoming phone. Samsung may very well ditch the jack, as many smartphone manufacturers have decided to do in the past year.
In addition, the picture doesn’t show an iris scanner, which is thought to be one of the main selling points on the Galaxy S8. This backs up the presumption that the image isn’t 100% accurate, but as we said earlier, there’s no way of knowing for sure.
The image also reveals the phone’s dual-edge display, which is expected on both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. However, only the Galaxy S8 Plus will be sporting a dual-camera setup on the back, while the standard Galaxy S8 will have a single camera on the rear.
