If you have not already heard, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is being recalled internationally due to safety concerns. Keeping true to their word, Samsung Electronics Singapore has worked swiftly in getting the refund and exchange process in place for current Galaxy Note7 owners.
So if you do own a Note7 and reside in Singapore, here are 5 things which you need to know and do in order to obtain some closure.
- Full Refund
If you choose for a full refund, the full retail value of SG$1,168 will be made to you in cheque. This is regardless if you have made the purchase at telecommunication counters, authorised dealers, Samsung store or Samsung Official Store at Lazada.sg. Please note that if you have bought the Note7 with a contract, this refund will not affect the contract.
- Exchange
There is an option for current Note7 owners to exchange their devices for Samsung’s other flagship model, the Galaxy S7 Edge. If you do choose this option, will also receive a SG$250 cheque on top of the exchange to offset the difference in retail price.
- Accessories Are Eligible For a Refund Too
All original Note7 accessories ranging from LED View Cover, Back Pack to Clear View cover are eligible for a full refund which would be made in cheque.
- Samsung Concierge
If have bought Samsung Concierge with their Note7 and have opt for a full device refund, the SG$38 will be refunded in full to you in cheque. However, if you have decided to exchange their Note7 for the S7 Edge, your Samsung Concierge commence on the day the exchange is made.
- How to Arrange for the Exchange?
Simply head on over to your local Samsung’s website, select your preference (refund or exchange) and provide details for the free home delivery exchange. Other details which need to be provided during this “delivery slot booking” will include, time slot, choice of colour for the S7 Edge, accessories which also need to be refunded and if so what accessory.
