With so many recalled Galaxy Note 7 units that are almost practically unused, Samsung decided to fix the battery issue causing it to explode and sell them as refurbished device. According to reports from Korea, the Galaxy Note 7R will hit the shelves in the country either in late May or early June.
The phone will be available from local operators SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus and the best part is that it to be sold at half the price of original model. The South Korean giant will reportedly sell the phone for as low as KRW 500,000 or about $440. Considering that the only change compared to the original unit is a slightly smaller battery and new Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, Samsung might sell all units very fast. There is no information on availability in other markets.
What are your thoughts on the new refurbished model? Would you buy one?
