Samsung has launched the latest member of its Galaxy C-series lineup in China, the Galaxy C9 Pro. The smartphone happens to be the biggest member of the Galaxy C-series range yet, featuring a huge 6-inch display.
The 6-inch Super AMOLED display of the phablet offers 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, resulting in a pixel density count of 367 pixels per inch. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s all-new Snapdragon 653 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.95 GHz with the Adreno 510 GPU. In terms of memory, the Galaxy C9 Pro packs 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Samsung has included a dedicated microSD card slot as well, so users will be able to expand the storage further by up to 256GB with a microSD card.
The primary camera is a 16MP unit with phase detection autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, and a bright f/1.9 aperture lens. For selfies, the Galaxy C9 Pro comes with a 16MP unit on the front as well, with a similar f/1.9 aperture lens. Connectivity specs include Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, NFC, ANT+, 4G LTE, and a USB Type-C port. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the front, similar to the Galaxy C5 and C7. Justifying the “Pro” moniker, the smartphone packs a large 4000mAh battery inside, with support for fast charging. The Galaxy C9 Pro measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9mm and weighs in at 185 grams. It boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box, which isn’t the newest version of Android anymore.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy C9 Pro at 3199 Yuan in China ($470), where it will be available in Gold and Rose Gold color options.
