Samsung Galaxy C9 is certified in the U.S. by the FCC

The Samsung Galaxy C9, the top of the line handset in Sammy’s Galaxy C series, has received FCC certification. The device has made the rounds recently, appearing on India’s import-export site Zauba, showing up on Geekbench, and getting put through benchmark site GFXBench. On the GFXBench documentation, we see that the device carries a 6-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 652 chipset is under the hood carrying an octa-core 2GHz CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of flash storage. A 16MP rear-facing camera is on board.

Now, the SM-C9000 (aka the Samsung Galaxy C9) has made a visit to the FCC where the phone has been certified by the U.S. regulatory agency. One new piece of information that was revealed by the FCC is the 4000mAh capacity of the battery that will keep the lights on the unit. While not listed on any of the benchmark sites, nor mentioned by the FCC, we do expect a fingerprint scanner to be included with the handset. And the Galaxy C9 is said to have a code name of “Amy.”

Despite the FCC certification, the Samsung Galaxy C9 is expected to join the Samsung Galaxy C5 and Samsung Galaxy C7 with availability limited to China. That means we should see at least one more stop for the phone: China’s TENAA regulatory agency.
