Backing recent reports suggesting a delay in launch to January, a new rumor out of China claims the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro and Galaxy C5 Pro mid-range Android smartphones will go on sale starting January 21, presumably only in China.
The Galaxy C7 Pro was certified by TENAA a few days back, which means the handset is now clear for sale in China. The Galaxy C5 Pro is yet to be certified by the Chinese telecommunications regulatory agency, but we expect it to be certified soon.
As per the TENAA listing, the Galaxy C7 Pro is going to feature a 5.7-inch sized 1080 x 1920 Full HD Super AMOLED display, with a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch. The smartphone is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC, which features the Adreno 506 GPU. It also includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. In the camera department, the Galaxy C7 Pro is expected to sport a 16MP snapper at the back and a 16MP snapper on the front as well. The handset will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box when it goes on sale next month.
Not much is known about the Galaxy C5 Pro at this point, except that it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC under the hood, paired with 3GB of RAM.
