Samsung’s mobile chipsets are mostly aimed at high-end smartphones, but the company has promised to design and launch chipsets for affordable devices. Starting today, the Exynos 7570 has entered mass production will probably arrive by the third or fourth quarter of the year.
The new Exynos chipset is built using 14nm process technology and is designed for budget smartphones and IoT devices. It integrates Cat. 4 LTE 2CA modem with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Frequency Modulation, and global navigation satellite system (GNSS).
The quad-core Exynos 7570 processor is 70% more powerful than its 28-nanometer predecessor, and is 30 percent more energy efficient. It supports Full HD video recording, WXGA resolution, 8 megapixel and 13-megapixel front and back cameras.
