Samsung Electronics Australia (Samsung) has donated $1 million (AUD) towards efforts to combat and stop bushfires.

 

Mr W.J. Song, President, Samsung, mentioned: “The devastation brought on by the Australian bushfires has been felt throughout Samsung workplaces globally and our hearts exit to everybody that has been impacted. It has been extremely humbling to see the Australian group rally collectively and provide any assist they will throughout this time.

 

“Samsung has made this $1 million donation to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service and we are committed to leveraging the power of our technology to address the challenging reality that bushfires present to Australia.”

 

In 2020, Samsung will evolve its ongoing company citizenship program to encourage younger individuals and entrepreneurs to deal with this difficulty.
