OLED panel makers are having hard time meeting demand, but according to latest information, they are expecting an increase in demand for tablet market. Samsung Display is one of the largest suppliers of OLED panels and is reportedly going to reduce the supply of LCD panels for tablets and increase production of OLED panels for tablets.
This might be another confirmation that Apple is planning to use OLED displays in new iPads, but it is currently unknown if and when the company is planning to make the switch to OLEDs.
On the other hand, Samsung will reportedly use OLEDs for its entire tablet and laptop lineups released this year.
