Engineers working at RoyalTek, Quanta Computer’s GPS navigation device subsidiary, have been found using pirated graphics software mostly developed by PTC and Autodesk. The software is calculated to be worth more than NT$200 million (US$6.4 million), according to the Business Software Alliance (BSA) Taiwan.
RoyalTek’s headquarters were raided by the Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office which found several instances of pirated software.
