A software update for Roku-based televisions has been released that adds viewing suggestions based on the content you’re currently watching. Roku will use the data to make suggestions with the goal of keeping people engaged.
Roku will only track your viewing behavior when you’re watching something through an input like a cable box or digital antenna. It uses the automatic content recognition (ACR) technology found in many smart TVs to figure out what people are viewing.
Users will only notice this feature if they opt-in or are using a newly bought Roku TV.
