Xiaomi took the smartphone industry by storm these past couple of years, making it into the top 5 smartphone manufacturers in the world along side Samsung and Apple. However in India, Xiaomi may have had high targets for the Redmi Note 4 and they are quickly becoming a household name in the country. With it aggressive pricing and innovative features, Xiaomi has become one of the most popular smartphone brands in India.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 has just become the Number One best selling smartphone in India by shipping 5 Million units across the country. Xiaomi has announced that they have shipped out 5 Million units in six months since the launch of Redmi Note 4 in India.

Jai Mani, Lead Product Manager at Xiaomi India Said this is his tweet –

We sold 5 million Redmi Note 4’s in 6 months! Completely record breaking. It’s becoming more and more difficult to say we don’t have stock

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, an Adreno 506 GPU, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 4100mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 4 is available in three variants – one with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that’s priced at Rs. 9,999, a 3GB/32GB variant with a price tag of Rs. 10,999, and a high-end Rs. 12,999 4GB/64GB variant.
