Apple’s wireless earphones, the Bluetooth powered AirPods, are a hit. Despite a two-month delay (or perhaps because of a two-month delay) demand has been raised to a fever pitch. That really isn’t surprising if you think about it. The AirPods are perfect for those with a handset that lacks a 3.5mm earphone jack, which means that millions of Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus users are potential customers for the product. It all adds up to what Apple CEO Tim Cook calls “A runaway success.”

Orders for the AirPods are taking six weeks to ship. But a report published out of China reveals that AirPods supplier Inventec is working overtime at its Shanghai factory. This additional production will help balance out the lopsided demand-supply equation. If the report is true, shipping times should eventually start coming down.

The Apple AirPods pair with your iPhone using a single tap. Sensors turn on the device when you place them in your ears, and tapping on them twice will activate Siri. The AirPods run for as long as 5-hours on a single charge, and 15-minutes in the carrying case will give you enough power to enjoy three hours of listening time. The case carries enough battery life to keep the AirPods running for over 24-hours with multiple charging sessions.

The Apple AirPods are priced at $159 and can be ordered directly from Apple’s online store.
