Raspberry Pi Foundation has just announced a new Compute Module that is based on the latest Raspberry Pi 3 architecture. the Compute Module 3 is a slimmed-down version of Raspberry Pi 3 that is missing the SD card and other sockets for embedding in other products.
It has the same pinout as the first Pi Compute Module, but is 1mm taller. The standard Compute Module 3 costs $30 and packs 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit processor, 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of eMMC flash storage. The $25 Lite version has the SD card interface instead of built-in eMMC flash storage.
