The well-known American semiconductor Qualcomm has now announced that it has signed a new deal with the Chinese smartphone giants Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi. While details of the deal are scarce, we know that is worth $12 billion and was reached during the course of President Trump’s state visit to Beijing.
We’ll most likely see more Snapdragon chipsets in future Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi smartphones, meaning MediaTek will have hard times selling its Helio chipsets, especially considering the latest failure with the flagship Helio X30 chipset, which is only being used by one company.
