Primax Electronics is expected to see its revenues hit a new high in August, buoyed by a 10% capacity ramp of its compact camera modules (CCMs) and peak season demand for audio products, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The recent completion of the capacity ramp project boosted the company’s CCM production to 12 million units a month, of which 70% are 13-megapixel models, said the paper.
Additionally, the company is also expected to land more orders for dual-camera modules in the second half, triggered by the planned launch of dual-camera iPhone 7 devices, added the paper.
Meanwhile, Primax also expects that sales of its audio products to double in the second half of 2016 compared to the previous six-month period, EDN said, citing sources at the company.
The company saw its revenues grow 12.3% on month and 19.5% on year to a record high of NT$5.77 billion (US$181.88 million) in July. Accumulated 2016 revenues through July totaled NT$33.26 billion, increasing 10.8% on year.
The company’s stock price rose NT$1.15 to close at NT$44.15 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the August 23 session.
