Powercolors RX 550, the newest addition in the Polaris series of graphics processors from AMD is tested and spotted. This particluar model of the card is priced at 79.99 dollars.
The card would be a PowerColor RX 550 Red Dragon with 512 shader processors and 2GB of graphics memory. The clocks would be 1190 MHz for the GPU and memory at 1750 MHz (7 Gbps effective data-rate). PCWorld tested the card against the A10 7870k APU. The card almost scores double than that of the integrated graphics of the 7870k APU in the eSPORTS titles. The card performs decent for the recent AAA titles. According to the test the card consumes approximately 100W under load and reaches a maximum temparture 58C under load.
Altough, the card performs pretty decent when compared to integrated graphics it is still highly priced and a GTX 1050 priced 25 dollars more than the 550 is better card to get right now.
