Pixel Smartphones Offered with $100 Gift Card at Best Buy

When it comes to Pixel smartphones, there’s one thing that everyone can agree on, they don’t come cheap. Pixel and Pixel XL prices start at $649 on the Google Store and depending on the internal storage, customers can choose from multiple installment plans on Verizon.

Pixel XL with 128GB of local storage is offered for $36.24 for 24 months payments at Verizon or $869.99 full retail price from the US carrier. While the phones are certainly not cheap, they do offer multiple advantages.

Google says that Pixel has the best rear camera on a smartphone ever and that it’s the only smartphone to come with integrated Google Assistant. It’s also the only smartphone with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. There are advantages to buying the Pixel through Verizon, mainly monthly installments that make the phone accessible to many people, rather than having to pay the full retail price upfront.

Best Buy offers $100 gift card for Pixel pre-orders

Best Buy also has an offer that could make the Pixel more attractive to customers, but only to those with Verizon plans. Best Buy will be offering customers who pre-order Pixel smartphones and activate them on Verizon a $100 gift card and a free Chromecast.

The second generation Chromecast currently goes for $35.The gift card would surely come in handy for buying cases, screen protectors and even headphones.

The listings for the two Pixel smartphones are already available on Best Buy’s website, but it seems that the retailer has yet to make pre-orders live. Pixel and Pixel XL are expected to release on October 20.

The phones are also available through Google’s very own Project Fi. Pixel with 32GB is priced at $649 or $27.04 monthly over 2 years. Pixel with 128GB costs $749 or 24 monthly payments of $31.20. The 32GB variant of Pixel XL sells for $769 or 24 monthly payments of $32.04. The 128GB variant of Pixel XL has a price tag of $869 or $36.20 payments over 24 months.
