Pegatron expects fourth-quarter 2016 notebook shipments to increase 25-30% on quarter and those for motherboards and desktops to decrease 15-20%, according to the company.
Pegatron suffered non-operating loss of NT$1.209 billion (US$38.3 million) for the third quarter, NT$1.104 billion of which came from foreign exchange losses on appreciation of New Taiwan dollar against UD dollar by about 3%.
Of third-quarter consolidated revenues of NT$316.193 billion, 66% came from communication products, 14% from consumer electronics, 13% from IT products and 7% from others.
Pegatron’s October consolidated revenues reached NT$150.799 billion, dropping 0.16% on month and 13.98% on year, and those of NT$948.371 billion for January-October dipped 2.93% on year.
