Passive component and module supplier Mag.Layers Scientific-Technics has reported net profits of NT$127 million (US$4.018 million) for the third quarter of 2016, up 47.67% from the previous quarter. The earnings translated into an EPS of NT$1.55 for the quarter, the company’s highest quarterly EPS in six years.
For the first three quarters of 2016, net profits reached NT$275 million, or NT$3.28 per share.
The company reported earlier that it posted revenues of NT$294.96 million for September, up 4.56% on month and 21.17% on year. Accumulated 2016 revenues through September totaled NT$2.252 billion, increasing 13.9% from a year earlier.
Increased sales of mini molding chokes contributed to sales growth during the January-September period, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
The company’s stock price surged NT$3 to close at NT$54 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the October 21 session.
