Taiwan-based PND platform developer Papago has entered into the robot industry, as it sees the PND market has limited space for further development.
For Taiwan, Papago believes robot products will have better potential in the medical or industrial markets and will see difficulty growing further in the B2C market.
Papago recently established a team to specifically focus on robot development and expects the team to create solutions for different needs.
Papago recently demonstrated its service robot, Nao, designed to help serve customers. The robot can recognize faces, introduce drinks, dance and play games as well as assist customers to make payments.
