Those who like taking selifes should be familiar with the most attractive smartphone in this sense, the Oppo R9. The latter comes with a 16MP front camera combined with a wide f/2.0 aperture lens. Many smartphones can’t even afford themselves to dream about a 16MP rear camera, while this one carries it on the front. However, the Oppo R9 is not alone in this market, as there is also the iNew Pandora R9 trying to make some competition to this beast. But Oppo is not from those that yield immediately – the new and more powerful Oppo R9s is going to launch on October 19.
The Oppo R9s ad has already appeared on TV, but as for now Oppo R9s posters are available and someone has already managed to capture them. They show the upcoming Oppo selfie-focused smartphone will sport the same camera, but this time it will come with a f/1.7 apperture lens. Thus this camera is capable of taking astonishing photos in low light conditions and it supports dual-core focus technology. This can also mean rear cameras are not as popular as front ones, because people are tend to capture themselves rather than others or nature.
Anyway, the Oppo R9s is said to be packed with a list of other outstanding features like a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, a built-in 3000mAh battery supporting VOOC flash charging. I don’t think the manufacturer will replace the display of the current model, and the Oppo R9s will feature a 5.5-inch screen and the Touch access technology to unlock the phone via a fingerprint scanner located under the home button.
The original Oppo R9 was initially priced at $500, and though it has got a price cut of $100 recently, this new model should be priced like the R9. So be ready to fork out.
