Opera's Main Desktop Browser Now Has Built-In VPN

257

An unlimited VPN, like what is found in Opera for Android/iOS, is now built into the public version of Opera’s desktop browser. The feature launched in April 2016 in the developer version of the software, but now it’s available for everyone as part of the Opera 40 update. Many people could end up using a VPN for the first time due to the feature.

For most internet users, the unlimited VPN included with Opera will be fine. There are some restrictions, however, including the option to choose from just five global locations in Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the US.
